Thank you to everyone who attended the opening reception for my solo exhibition Perceptual Consciousness at Claire Carino Contemporary in Boston.
Opening Reception: Perceptual Consciousness
The opening was incredible. I still feel the joy and excitement over sharing my newest series with collectors, art enthusiasts, and friends. The energy in the gallery was electric, and it was wonderful to connect with so many people who appreciate geometric abstract art.
Seeing people engage with the work—standing in front of the paintings, discussing the compositions, asking questions about process and inspiration—reminded me why I create. Art is meant to be experienced in person, and a solo exhibition provides that rare opportunity to see a cohesive body of work in one space.
About the Exhibition: Perceptual Consciousness
Perceptual Consciousness is a solo show featuring my latest geometric abstract paintings exploring themes of perception, consciousness, and the interplay between form and space. The exhibition examines how we perceive and interpret the world around us through the lens of geometric abstraction.
Each painting in the series investigates the relationship between structure and intuition, precision and spontaneity, the seen and the felt. The works invite viewers to slow down and contemplate how we construct meaning from visual information.

The Significance of Solo Exhibitions
A solo exhibition is a milestone in any artist's career. Unlike group shows, a solo exhibition allows an artist to present a complete, cohesive vision—to tell a story through a curated selection of work that explores a specific theme or concept in depth.
For collectors, solo exhibitions offer insight into an artist's creative process and evolution. They provide context for individual works and demonstrate the artist's ability to sustain a conceptual thread across multiple pieces. Exhibition history is one of the key factors to consider when acquiring original work—the complete guide to collecting geometric abstract art covers how to evaluate an artist's credentials, provenance, and practice before making a purchase.
Reception Highlights
The opening reception was filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, and the kind of energy that only happens when people gather to celebrate art. Here are a few moments from the evening:

Each piece is created with intention, addressing the intersection of form, color, and meaning. For more on the philosophy behind the work, Artist Philosophy: Minimalist Landscape Art goes into the thinking that shapes every composition.
